A new Code for Prosecutors, including a Code of Ethics, has been developed over the course of the year. The Code for Prosecutors sets out the general principles to be applied in decision-making and general guidelines for the conduct of criminal prosecutions. It also defines the standards and conduct expected from prosecutors including those barristers and solicitors to whom the Director assigns the conduct of criminal proceedings.
